The Highland is a breed of cattle from Scotland that has made their way around the world and right into a patch of field in Colorado that my brother was tending to. They are somewhat famous for their long, woolly coats, which makes them suitable for cold climates, thus perfect for the high hills of western Colorado. It also makes them so endearing and photogenic. They do have real names, but for their own privacy, I’ve called these two Bob and Karl.
